IVMS adds next-level tree detection with AI model upgrade

We are proud to announce Tree Detection Version 6 (TD v6), our most powerful and accurate vegetation AI model yet. The model uses high-resolution satellite and/or aerial imagery to identify vegetation types of all kinds and in all geographies—a key capability within our platform for grid inspection and monitoring.

With this upgrade, AiDASH Intelligent Vegetation Management System™ (IVMS) customers can create more robust and efficient vegetation management plans and make better decisions knowing they’re using the most accurate information and insight available.

  • TD v6 excels at accurately identifying vegetation, even when using imagery with issues such as low contrast, pixelation, or artifacts.

Because AiDASH has tremendous scale, with customers in 48 U.S. states and over 135 customers worldwide, we have access to an unmatched wealth of data, enabling us to fine-tune our models to perform best-in-class.

With our data advantage, we built the Tree Detection AI model on a dataset of over 300 million satellite and aerial images, and it serves as the core for understanding complex image variations. Using the latest transformer-based architectures, TD v6 delivers exceptional accuracy and robustness, handling challenges like changes in resolution, illumination, angle of incidence, and other environmental factors.

This unique combination of large-scale data, advanced technology, and in-house expertise enables us to consistently outperform traditional methods, delivering highly reliable results across diverse conditions.
